Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made a big announcement. He has said that seven thousand rupees each will be given to the flood victims. On Friday afternoon, he took stock of the food packets being prepared for the flood victims at the Indoor Stadium in Darbhanga and issued guidelines to the concerned officials including the present District Magistrate. He has directed the officials to provide relief material to the flood victims as soon as possible. The Chief Minister said that before Vijaya Dashami, instructions were given to send the assistance amount to the bank accounts of the flood victims.

After taking stock of the indoor stadium food packaging, the Chief Minister has gone out to visit the flood affected area of Kiratpur Kusheshwarsthan block. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Bihar Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni has also said to give seven thousand rupees to the flood victims. This money will be transferred to the accounts of the victims by October 9, before Durga Puja. Minister Sahni said that seven thousand rupees will be sent to about 50 thousand victims.
